An Educational Project

Hello World !!
Amritsar, Punjab, India
It is a project to connect 6 rural kids of 7th grade(mainly girls) with the world through internet. They belong to lower caste or economically poor middle caste families. In government school in my village,I found out that each kid spends approx. 7 minutes per week on computer in his or her school. Surprisingly, the school is ranked among 100 best rural government schools in Punjab. According to the government, it is a computerized school which means each kid gets computer education. We also found that among 6 computers only 1 computer has internet connection. After reviewing the situation along with my brother, We have taken the responsibility to connect 6 kids of my village's school to the world through internet and inculcate in them a habit to learn and explore. We have the aim to make these 6 kids computer educated so that they become an asset not only for the school but also for the village of 1500 people. There are many challenges before us mainly school administration. After much bureaucracy, We have got permission from the Sarva Shiksha ABhiyan District officer and the school to provide computer education to 6 kids in 45 days with 6 hours each day.Read 1st Blog.
